Martin D. Jacobs, CPA
Marty Jacobs is graduate of Gonzaga College High School in Washington, DC. He later earned a Bachelor of Arts from The Catholic University of America where he majored in accounting. He became a CPA in 1998. He has worked in public accounting since 1993 and has owned and managed his own firm since 2000. He is a member of the Maryland Society of Accounting and Tax Professionals. He founded Meyer Jacobs, PC in 2019.
Marty lives in Silver Spring, MD with his wife Lara and their daughter Emily. Marty volunteered as the Treasurer for a youth sports organization for six years. He also volunteered as the Treasurer for The Lilabean Foundation for Pediatric Brain Cancer Research for three years. He enjoys getting out on the golf course with friends and family.
Michael J. Meyer, CPA
Michael Meyer is a Washington, DC-native and seasoned accountant, who specializes in individual, business, estate, and trust income taxes. He has served a number of clients, both domestic and international, and his wealth of knowledge has helped him guide businesses and individuals to success. Mike is passionate about offering all of his clients – large or small – a personalized and one-on-one experience and prides himself on the lasting relationships and quality service that he provides.
Mike’s professional experience dates back to his senior year of college when he prepared student tax returns for 50 cents apiece – the cost of a couple of beers, in those days. Since then, he has established himself as a reputable and reliable accountant, becoming partner at a Bethesda CPA firm – alongside Marty’s father, Tom – and eventually starting his own CPA firm, Michael Meyer and Associates, in 1988. In January 2020, Mike and Marty joined forces, and Mike sold his firm, which is now Meyer Jacobs, PC.
As one of 10 children, Mike is passionate about family, and outside the office, he enjoys spending quality time with his wife Jin and daughter Nicole. He is also an avid golfer and starts every morning with a cup of coffee and an inspiring read.
Mike has a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting from Belmont Abbey College and is a member the Maryland Society of Accounting and Tax Professionals and the Virginia Society of Tax and Accounting Professionals. He is also a certified QuickBooks Pro Advisor, specializing in accounting system design and best operations workflow.
Melissa G. Griner
Melissa Griner is a graduate of the University of Maryland University College where she received a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting with a minor in Business and Management. She has been working in public accounting since 2002 and has worked for Marty since 2007. She is a member of the Maryland Society of Accounting and Tax Professionals. She lives in Huntingtown, MD with her daughter Kendall. Melissa volunteered as the Treasurer for the school PTA for three years. Additionally, she was a Girl Scout where she served as Troop Treasurer for two years.
Christopher M. Webb, CPA, EA
Chris is a graduate of the University of Maryland where he majored in accounting. He became an IRS Enrolled Agent in 2019 and became a CPA in 2020. He has worked in public accounting since 2008.
